Petergof and Fabergé Museum

Petergof

A fantastical, magical, radiant and splendid jewel which forms part of the historical treasures of St. Petersburg. It is specifically in this way that the beloved country residence of Russian emperors is described. Petergof, founded by Peter I is located 30 km from St. Petersburg, it amasses over 150 fountains. At the centre of the Imperial Petergof residence is the huge Petergof palace, with its southern façade overlooking the upper garden with a fountain, its northern – a magnificent cascade over the lower park and the Finnish gulf.

We are creating a tailored and special route for our guests, which will involve an hour’s journey from the heart of St. Petersburg on a speed boat on the Neva river to Petergof. Thanks to this method of transport, you will have an additional river excursion, which will allow you to indulge in the beauty of the Northern Russian capital by sailing under the numerous magnificent bridges which give St. Petersburg an unmatched charm.

Fabergé Museum

The Museum, which is the most complete and extensive collection of Carl Fabergé’s company in the world, is located in one of the most beautiful palaces of St. Petersburg. The interior of the palace has been restored to its original design, and today the Shuvalov palace (Fabergé Museum) is itself considered a work of art – due to its architecture and restoration works. The collection of this museum is part of the collection of work of decorative and applied arts, made by Russian masters in the second half of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries, as well as 9 famous imperial Easter eggs, which hold a priceless standing not only as products of the highest craftsmanship, but also as unique historical artefacts.

In 1990, the Kremlin with its neighbouring Red Square, was inducted into the World Heritage Site list. The Kremlin Museum wonders its visitors with its diverse collection, but the most famous exhibit is the Moscow Armoury, which houses a collection in nine different halls, each one with its own theme. The first two halls of the Armoury stun their guests with armaments made from gold and silver, in the next two halls the parade collection is housed. Made from precious fabrics and skilled embroidery, the uniform samples allow the visitors to see with their own eyes how the courtiers of Russian kings used to dress. In the seventh hall of the Kremlin Armoury is housed the incredibly rich collection of Imperial Russian State regalia, which started to accumulate in the treasury during the unification of Russia’s territory.

The Russian Diamond fund houses a unique collection of the best creations of Russian and foreign jewellers, as well as diamonds and other precious jewels, mined from Russian fields starting at the beginning of the second half of the last century.
